I will have a repetition lecture Monday 8th of Dec at 13.00 - 15.00 in room 401. I will give a quick repetition of the course. If you would like me to cover some specific topic, please contact me before the lecture.
Since everyone has completed the project tomorrows project assistance will be cancelled.?
I have put out the times we are available for assisting you on the project. We will generally be available during ordinary lecture and group session times. Last chance to get assistance is 4th of December.
Mandatory assignments – TEK4030 - Autumn 2025 – Universitetet i Oslo
During the project the group sessions will be in the lab in the basement of ITS. I will be there today, and Thistan next week.
Tomorrow we will begin the project assignment in TEK4030. I recommend everyone to meet up in the lab in the basement at ITS. P?l will give an introduction to the MoCap equipment and turtlebot used in the project. David will give some guidance on the assignment.

Assignment 3 – TEK4030 - Autumn 2025 – Universitetet i Oslo
Due to the delay in getting the ROS exercise ready for mandatory assignment 2, we skip this exercise for the submission.
On thursday we will have a guest lecturer on control of USVs and AUVs. This is a part of the curriculum, and could be included in the exam.
Unfortunately, we have not managed to update the Visual Servoing code yet, but we are working on this. I will post when it is updated.
For the project (mandatory assignment 3) this year we will implement a controller on a mobile robot. On Thursday next week P?l will show you how to use the equipment needed for the project in the lab in the basement of ITS.
I have put Mandatory assignment 2 out on the course webpage. Unfortunately, we have not managed to convert the ROS exercise into ROS2 yet. We will do this as soon as we are able, and I will send out a message when it is ready.
The buss will depart from ITS at 15.00 on Friday next week. Hopefully you will avoid some of the traffic going back, and can have a fun Halloween.
Next week there will be two lectures, to cover the cancelled lecture from last week. The lecture will be Friday 31st of Oct. from 13.15. The department will arrange a buss going back to Blindern after the lecture.
The next mandatory assignment will also be posted today or tomorrow. There has been a short delay in converting it to ROS2. The deadline will be extended accordingly.
This weeks lecture is cancelled due to travel. The lecture will be rescheduled, most likely to the 28th of Oct. I will come back with the final time and date.
Tomorrow we will have a practical introduction to ROS2. You will be doing a tutorial on ROS2 on your laptops during the lecture.
I would recommend downloading Virtual Box and the virtual machine we are going to use before the lecture tomor...
