There will be no teaching in week 16 due to Easter. The next lecture will be on Tuesday April 22nd.
The results on partial exam 1 are now ready. Everyone should get the grade (A-F) in Studentweb. The exact scores and brief individual feedback have been sent through Inspera. The solutions and examiner's guide have been uploaded to the web in the folder with the exam questions.
Partial exam 2 is now available on the semester web page. The exam answer should be delivered in Inspera. The deadline is 9 May 2025 at 17.00.
Unfortunately, there is an error in partial exam 1 that may be confusing.
Exercise 2b and 2e refer to a rat sequence, where it should have been a mouse sequence. In both cases, the mouse sequence retrieved in exercise 1a is the one to use.
If you have already performed the analyses with a relevant rat sequence, that's okay. It won't affect the score or grade.

Welcome to the Introduction to bioinformatics course (IN4030).
This course will be given in English.
The first lecture will be given on Tuesday January 21st, 2025, from 14.15 to 16.00 in seminar room 2458 Postscript. Please see the schedule for details with topics indicated for each week.
There will be exercises on Thursdays, from 10.15 to 12.00 in seminar room 2452 Pascal 2465 Prolog, starting January 30th. In the first hour the students are expected to work on the exercises with help from the teacher, while solutions to the problems will be presented in the second hour.
The course has two partial home exams and a final digital written exam. The plan is to hand out the first partial exam on February 13th with a delivery deadline on March 21st. The second partial exam will be handed out on March 27th with a deadline on May 9th. The final exam is planned for June 6th at 15.00 to 19.00 in Silurveien 2....
