Plans for the week of April 13-17

Dear all, welcome back to FYS5419/9419. We hope you have had an excellent start of the week.??

The plans for this week are to

1) summarize our QPE discussion and

2) link this with a discussion of the HHL algorithm for solving linear algebra problems of the type Ax=b.?

3) Discuss codes that implement the HHL algorithm applied to the solution of the Poisson equation.

4) Additional impacts of the HHL algo for many-body physics

5) And, if we get time, we will start discussing the QAOA algorithm. This will be continued next week as well, when we start with Quantum ML.

The PDF file contains most of the mathematical derivations while the jupyter-notebook discusses the implementations of the HHL algorithm applied to the solution of Poisson's equation.
