Plans for the week of April 20-24

Dear all, welcome back to FYS4411/9411. This week (since Morten is away for a conference) the lecture is in the form of a recording and will be uploaded during the weekend.? On Friday April 24 we will thus have project work only and we start at 1015am instead of 915am. The lab sessions ends at 2pm, as usual. Aleksander will be there.

Else, the material for the lecture this week is covered by the jupyter-notebook at https://github.com/CompPhysics/ComputationalPhysics2/blob/gh-pages/doc/pub/week13/ipynb/week13.ipynb. In particular, the focus is on the Neural Network implementation as well as the discussion of Stochastic Reconfiguration, discussed in detail in the slides at https://github.com/CompPhysics/ComputationalPhysics2/blob/gh-pages/doc/pub/week13/ipynb/sg1.pdf

This is the last regular lecture material. For the rest of the semester we will focus on project work only. Keep in mind that Friday May 1 is a public holiday in Norway, which means that our next session with project work is May 8, starting at 915am and ending at 2pm. Our last session will be May 15, same time and project work and summary of the course.
