The Faculty’s new knowledge cluster, The Sustainable Health Unit (SUSTAINIT), has hit the ground running, having already laid out careful plans and initiated several activities. The Sustainable Health Unit, a new knowledge cluster at MED, was approved in the Medical Faculty Board on 13 December 2022. The unit will highlight challenges, discussions and sustainable solutions to global and local health issues.
Five projects have completed the SPARK Norway innovation programme in 2022. During the graduation ceremony in December, the Vaccibody Innovation Award 2022 was presented.
Hanne Flinstad Harbo won the election for the position of dean at the Faculty of Medicine with 53% of the votes. She will be the faculty's first female dean.
The new Jebsen centre opened on 1 September and will have a duration of five years. The aim of the centre's research is to improve the prevention and treatment of heart disease. The Centre is led by Professor Torbj?rn Omland.
