Personnel regulations

Core regulations

The Civil Service Act, the General Agreement for Civil Servants and the Adapation Agreement, the Collective Agreements and UiO's personnel and wage policy and personnel regulations lay down the guiding rules for all personnel regulations.

Regulations common for all employees

Intellectual property rights, external work, leave of absence, etc. are layed down in regulations that are common for all groups of employees at UiO.

Regulations for academic employees

Appointment, competence promotion and certain employment conditions for academic employees are layed down in special regulations.

Regulations for employees working abroad

When working for UiO in another country, employees must follow UiO's policy for working abroad. They must also be aware of national and international laws on tax, immigration and social security.
